Dr. Jonathan Mitelman
Dr. Jonathan Mitelman graduated from the University of Toronto with a BSc in physiology and physics in 1997. He earned a DVM in 2002 from the Ontario Veterinary College.
Upon graduation, Dr. Mitelman joined the staff at the Kingston Road Animal Hospital, becoming a business partner with hospital founder Dr. Morris Samson in 2005.
Dr. Mitelman is committed to continuing education, training and research. His veterinary medicine interests include emergency and critical care case management, ultrasonography, cardiology, medical and surgical ophthalomology, orthopedic surgery, and CO2 laser for soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Mitelman believes in supporting the community through fund raising and participating in local events.
He participated in the Ride To Conquer Cancer in 2008, 2009, and 2010, raising over $10, 000 for the cause.
He was a co-founder of the Canadian Friends of the Israel Guide Dogs for the Blind and remains an honorary board member today.
Outside of hospital life, Dr. Mitelman enjoys cycling and running. He hopes to achieve a 10k run in less than 50 minutes and is in training to participate in a half marathon in 2012.
Dr. Mitelman is married with two young children, a daughter and a son. He shares his life with three cats
